After months of comparison, analysis and research, I confirmed Japan as my destination of choice for my first 15-day solo trip! I had been on solo trips before, but they were mostly short ones or one’s where I knew someone or the other in those cities. This was different. I was going to a land far away, where I knew no one and I could not speak the language either. Exciting!
The trip I wanted was one where I was by myself, in an unknown land and forced out of my comfort zone. Japan met all those criteria’s. Japan as a whole has so much to offer – from skyscrapers to cultural shrines and temples to beaches (which I didn’t get to go to) and mountains. My itinerary took me to Tokyo, Osaka, Koyasan (Mt. Koya), Kyoto, Nara and Hakone. Click here to see my exact itinerary.
